Combine the following and cook until thick:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
Then add:
1 pinch salt
¼ tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. peach Jello (½ of a 3-oz. box)
2 Tbsp. butter
Stir well. Cool in refrigerator.
Peel and slice fresh peaches to equal 3 cups. Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. sugar. Pour into pre-baked pie shell. Top with whipping cream (1 cup heavy whipping cream whipped, with powdered sugar added to taste). Alternative: Use Cool Whip
